Leadership Concentration

This series of courses examines the critical role of leadership in achieving an organization’s strategic objectives. No matter your major - finance, accounting, marketing, economics, history, psychology, computer science, biology, etc. - if you perform well in your job, you will soon be promoted to a leadership role. Courses in this concentration will provide in-depth knowledge on leadership theories and insight into effective, ethical leadership practices. Students will examine and develop their own leadership style and sharpen skills that apply to an ever-changing world, including thinking like a leader, leading and energizing teams, communicating with confidence, and making informed decisions. This concentration is excellent preparation for students who want to start a business, work in the public or private sectors, join a not-for-profit or pursue graduate education. Students must also complete MGMT - 211. Management which is a prerequisite course for MGMT 313 , MGMT 445 , MRKT 329 .

Requirements for the Concentration in Leadership (15 credits):
Students complete one elective to provide additional perspective on leadership within a specific context.
