CRJS - 401. CRJS Capstone II

3 credit(s)
Part II of the Capstone, taken during the fall of senior year, is worth 3 credits and follows the one-credit course (Part I) taken in the spring of junior year. During Part II, students will be conducting deep research, writing their Capstones, and meeting regularly with Capstone advisors. Specifically, Part II of the Capstone is intended to represent a culmination of the students’ CRJS education. It requires each student to work individually and closely with a faculty advisor on his/her Capstone research project. The research should be reflective of the history and development of the American criminal justice system and restorative justice in relation to each student’s specific track of study. Research involves independent data collection and analysis, which will continue to expand students’ understanding of what justice looks like and what we can imagine it to be. At the end of the semester, students will present their Capstones in a public forum. This course may be repeated for credit.

Prerequisite(s): CRJS 400
