The Adolescence Education: Computer Science dual major is a track in Siena College’s nationally accredited Teacher Preparation Program.  In order to be eligible for the All Grades Education: Computer Science dual major, students must complete the education course requirements below and the requirements for the Computer Science, B.S. Computer Science Education Track . Students will need to maintain at least a 2.75 GPA in Computer Science, a 3.0 in Education, and an overall GPA of 3.0.

The Computer Science major provides students with the necessary content knowledge, and the All Grades Education: Computer Science major provides students with the pedagogical knowledge required to teach Computer Science at the elementary and secondary levels. When earned together, the dual major in Computer Science and All Grades Education: Computer Science prepares students to meet the New York State Education Department program requirements for initial certification in Computer Science (grades K-12).

Students who complete the All Grades Education: Computer Science dual major will earn a B.S. degree with two majors, one in Computer Science and another in All Grades Education: Computer Science.
