Meet the Psychology Faculty
Psychology Webpage

The Psychology Department offers a unique perspective on human diversity, encourages self-knowledge, and helps students develop critical thinking skills in the tradition of the liberal arts and sciences. As both a science and profession, Psychology incorporates theories and principles of behavior and mental processes based on empirical investigation which are used to describe and predict behavior, to solve practical problems, and to promote human welfare.

The Psychology program prepares students for entry into graduate programs leading to careers in academic and professional psychology. The study of psychology also provides an excellent background for careers in other fields such as law, business, and the health-care professions.

Opportunities for outstanding students include internships in various field settings as well as collaborative research with faculty members. Please see https://www.siena.edu/departments/psychology/ for more information about the Psychology Internship and related course pre-requisites, settings, and application deadlines and procedures.

In addition to the programs below, Siena College also offers the interdisciplinary Behavioral Neuroscience Minor .
