It will guide students in the investigation of such questions as: Is there any sense in which race is real? Are there any useful race concepts? How different is race from other human categories? What would racial justice look like? Students will have ample opportunity to engage with primary philosophical texts written by racially diverse scholars and to reflect on the historical evolution of race concepts in philosophy, science, and society.
