3 credit(s) Through sociological analysis, this course explores the prevalence of wrongful convictions in this country and, delves deeply into the sociological factors at the heart of such injustices. Focus is placed on reforms to stem wrongful convictions, as well as to assist those who have been exonerated to rightfully rebuild their lives. Students will engage in field work and/or research that may include work on a case of suspected wrongful conviction. Course may be repeated twice for credit.
