POSC - 327. Race & Minority Politics 3 credit(s) This course examines the role of minority groups in the American political system using an inclusive concept of minority groups, covering race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender identity, and religion. The course provides a foundational examination of race and ethnic politics in the US, and also explores the nature of minority politics in contemporary American society, including racism, discrimination, group stereotypes, immigration issues, and LGBTQ politics.
