Embedded ControlsTwo hours of lecture and two hours of lab per week. 3 credit(s) This course explores the software and hardware architectures for embedded system design; it includes a review of digital design basics, including timing, logic gates, interrupts, shift registers, ADCs, and memory. Additional topics which will be covered include: design flow and tools; the design of standard peripherals, microcontrollers, single-purpose and general-purpose processors; and basic concepts of interfacing and communication protocols in embedded systems. Lab fee.
