MATH - 425. Differential Geometry 3 credit(s) This course is an introduction to the theory of curves and surfaces in the three-dimensional Euclidean space. Topics include curve arc length, curvature, torsion, the Frenet n-frame, the first and second fundamental forms of a surface, normal and principal curvatures, Gaussian and the mean curvatures, isometries of surfaces, and geodesic curves on a surface.
