POSC - 346. Middle East Politics 3 credit(s) This course explores political, economic, socio-cultural, and structural factors that have intensified ethnic, religious, and tribal conflict, extreme poverty, and a legacy of authoritarianism. The propagation of the global oil trade and the consequences for marginalized and poor communities, and women and minorities in the region, will also be examined.
