Contemporary Continental Philosophy 3 credit(s) The major movements of the 20th century European thought such as phenomenology, hermeneutics, structuralism, deconstruction, feminism, and psychoanalysis. Major figures include Husserl, Heidegger, Arendt, Gadamer, Levinas, Foucault, Derrida, Deleuze, Irigarary, and Kristeva. Typical questions pertain to problems of consciousness, language, embodiment, power, and otherness.
