3 credit(s) This course introduces students to English language prose, poetry, and other diverse forms of cultural expression of the Romantic, Victorian, Modern, and Contemporary periods. Students will analyze these works in the context of social, historical, and political changes that affected English and Anglophone literary production after the close of the eighteenth century.
