ENVA - 330. Invasive Species

3 credit(s)
Invasive species are a leading cause of global environmental change and loss of biological diversity. Invasive species establish populations outside their native range, largely a result of human actions, and can cause serious ecological, social, and economic effects. This course explores the biology of invasive species, their identification, and threats to native ecosystems. Course will involve hands-on assessment of local invaded ecosystems and exploration of strategies to control and prevent their spread.
