CRJS - 401. CRJS Capstone 3 credit(s) The Capstone course, intended to represent a culmination of the students’ CRJS education, engages students in an independent research project, dependent on data collection and analysis, which will continue to expand their understanding of what justice looks like and what we can imagine it to be. Specifically, the Capstone explores techniques for research not yet covered in other classes, credentialing for conducting surveys as per the IRB (if not already accomplished in a prior class), the formulation of research ideas and evaluation methods, and ultimately, hands-on, deep research. Students will spend the bulk of the semester working on their Capstone projects which culminate in a PowerPoint and Capstone paper. This course may be repeated for credit.
Prerequisite(s): CRJS 101 , CRJS 200 , CRJS 300 or SOCI 306 , CRJS 175 Restriction(s): Senior status. Attribute: ARTS, JMN, NOEX
