8 credit(s) Assessment and awareness of lifestyle behaviors and their effect on adult wellness will be stressed. Challenges to health will be explored using the nursing process. Skills that are essential to health promotion or health assessment will be integrated throughout the course. These skills will be applied in a laboratory practicum, hospital, nursing home, and/or various community settings. Emphasis will be placed on the role of the RN in the caring environment. This course may be repeated once for credit.
