2 credit(s) This covers basic concepts in chemical kinetics. A central theme is the understanding of rates of chemical reactions, and what they tell us about chemical reactions. This includes: determination of rate laws, the use of rate laws to derive reaction mechanism, and the extrapolation of kinetic data to explore molecular dynamics. Ab Initio calculation of transition state structure and properties will be discussed.
