SOCI - 190. Crime Justice, and Public Policy

This course provides a foundational examination of criminal justice system in the US, with cross-national and global comparisons. Students will examine how historical developments and public policies intersect with race, class, gender, caste, sexuality, age, and other social identities to influence experiences and outcomes within policing, courts, and corrections. Students will evaluate criminal justice policies through a lens of safety, equity, and justice.
