3 credit(s) This course introduces students to the concepts and skills necessary for developing and enhancing effective interpersonal communication. Particular emphasis is placed on the interview and the techniques used to engage an individual in the helping process. Students actively participate in the learning process through class exercises, role-plays and videotaped presentations.
