3 credit(s) This course will use peer evaluation and the traditional writing workshop to foster student skills in writing short fiction. Students are required to distribute stories they have written to class for critique and group evaluation. The works of contemporary writers will be studied with an eye toward formal concerns and techniques. Students will be introduced to the art of contemporary short fiction writing.
