Biostatistics Minor

The Biostatistics minor provides students an opportunity to enhance their studies on applications of statistics to the life sciences. The minor prepares students to apply quantitative methods to design studies, implement practices, analyze data, and interpret results across various disciplines, including biology, biochemistry, medical and health sciences, and environmental science.
The complete requirements for this minor are listed below. In summary, students must complete a minimum of 18 credits from the following list with at least two biology courses.
1. One of the three introductory statistics courses - ADTV 110 or MATH 275 or BIOL 480.
2. Two upper-level statistics courses - MATH 372 and MATH 375.
3. One of the three experimental design courses -BIOL 190 or ENVA 210 or PSYC 300.
4. One of the three General Biology courses-BIOL 120, or BIOL 140, or BIOL 170.
5. One more course from the Electives list.
