The Criminal Justice Studies degree (CRJS) explores criminal justice through the prism of social, restorative and transformational justice. The curriculum is driven and shaped by the Franciscan precepts of community restoration, social transformation, access to resources sufficient for humans to thrive, and justice for all. Students will build upon a 23-credit foundation of core requirements, including law, sociology, philosophy, restorative justice, research methods including statistics, and a capstone, with 18-19 credits* in three specialized criminal justice tracks: Human Rights; Policy, Practice, and Administration; and Forensics, for a total of 41-42 credits for the BA. Each track will focus on professional and organizational skill development and application; cultural, legal, and political issues; and human behavior and social problems relevant to that course of study. 
*The Forensics track requires a 4-credit course with a lab; as such, this track demands an additional credit.
