HLTH - 101. Introduction to Global Health 3 credit(s) This course explores the factors that explain the unequal distribution of health and disease in the world. Students will receive an overview of global health issues through examination of major determinants of health and key areas of disease burden. Students will be introduced to the interrelationships of economic, political, social, and environmental factors that affect the health of populations globally. Students will also examine global health interventions to understand what programs work and why.
