SDIM - 350. Research Colloquium 1-3 credit(s) The Research Colloquium is designed to prepare students to write a Thesis. It provides a forum for students to learn advanced research skills, to discuss ideas about a Research Thesis/Project as they evolve, and to discuss the process of planning and preparing that thesis/project. Students will use class time to try out their ideas and to receive constructive criticism; to conduct appropriate literature searches in the discipline(s) in which their thesis falls; and, at the end of the semester, to present final proposals for the thesis/project. In addition, by the end of the course, the students will have a clear and doable topic in hand. No final exam. Offered on a pass/fail basis.
Prerequisite(s): Permission of the Program Director is required. Attribute: (ATTR: ARTS).
