MUMD - 380. 3D Digital Sculpting

This advanced studio course focuses on the art and technique of the essential modeling, texture, and substance skills necessary for game design and development. Students will master techniques in software navigation, sculpting with multiple brushes, masking, poly painting, and material application to create detailed and highresolution models that illustrate advanced 3D digital sculpting expertise. Utilizing industry-standard software such as Zbrush, students will digitally sculpt and seamlessly integrate their work with other 3D modeling tools. Additionally, completed projects will illustrate student's refined observational and concept drawing skills. By the completion of this course, there will be a comprehensive understanding of digital sculpting's role within the evolution of gaming and its integration into the contemporary game production pipeline.
