MUMD - 330. Concept Design & Storyboarding

The art of storytelling is essential in the world of games. In this advanced studio course, students learn how to visually communicate existing and original narratives. Lessons on sequencing, pacing, camera movements, composition, framing, and dialogue will guide students to make visually compelling storyboards with attention to continuity. Students will become familiar with the history, theory and aesthetics of this essential creative process as seen in graphic novels, digital games, and feature length films. Students will build a portfolio of imagery that supports new world building. Basic Design Fee.
