Requirements for the Certificate in Accounting (60 credits):

- Business Law 6 credit(s)
- Economics 6 credit(s)
- Finance 6 credit(s)
- QBUS - 200. Business Statistics I 4 credit(s)
- Business Electives 9 credit(s)
Candidates are expected to have computer competence that can be demonstrated through experience or additional coursework in computer science. A minimum of 30 credit hours must be taken at Siena College, achieving an overall grade index of 2.0. At least 15 credit hours of accounting must be taken at Siena (no grade below a C- being acceptable). This program does not grant credit for any required accounting courses that have previously been taken pass/fail. A student must take courses for a letter grade in order to count them towards the certificate program. The Accounting Certificate Program is intended for students who do not plan to earn the bachelor’s degree or who have already earned a degree in another major. A student who plans to sit for the CPA exam should consult with their advisor regarding education requirements.
