The Master of Science in Early Childhood and Childhood Education (B-6) at Siena University is designed for individuals who do not yet hold initial or professional teacher certification in New York State for childhood or early childhood education. The program provides the knowledge, skills, and clinical experiences needed to teach effectively from birth through grade 6, with options for a traditional student teaching pathway or a full-year paid residency. Graduates of the MSEd program are recommended for NYS certification in both Birth - Grade 2 and Grades 1 - 6. Offered fully online, the MSEd can be completed in approximately two years and includes opportunities to gain diverse classroom experience through multiple placements.
