Accounting students at Siena are educated in advanced principles, theories and real-world applications of accounting.
There are two 5-course Accounting Concentrations available for students who wish to pursue their studies in the field of professional level Accounting: (a) Accounting Theory and Foundations, (b) Not-for-Profit and Governmental Accounting. These Concentrations and their course requirements are listed below.
The first Accounting Concentration, Accounting Theory and Foundations, offers a significant level of professional level accounting and technical education to students. The Accounting Theory and Foundations Concentration can be combined with a concentration in another area, such as Finance or Marketing, for a powerful and interdisciplinary educational experience.
The other concentration in Accounting is specifically designed as technical specialization concentrations for students who wish to pursue careers in Governmental, or Not-for-Profit Accounting.
The Not-for-Profit and Governmental Accounting concentration is specifically designed to provide technical specialization for students who wish to pursue careers in Not-for-Profit and Governmental Accounting. This concentration must be combined with the Accounting Theory and Foundations Concentration.
