SCDV - 100. In the Realm of the Physical Sciences 3 credit(s) An intensive exploration of some of the fundamental laws of the universe and their application to various systems. Topics will be selected from major paradigm shifts such as the Copernican revolution and the development of quantum mechanics as well as ideas from areas such as relativity, cosmology, the origin of life, plate tectonics/seismology, dating techniques in archaeology, and the circulation of the atmosphere. PHYS-100 satisfies the Natural World core requirement. Requires permission of the Honors Program Director.
