BIOL - 480. Biostatistics 4 credit(s) An introduction to the statistical principles and methods most commonly used by biologists. Topics will include probability, inference, hypothesis testing, regression and multiple regression, general linear models, parametric and non-parametric tests, permutation, simulation, and bootstrapping. Laboratories will permit hands-on application of concepts from lecture to real biological data sets, building the programming skills needed to use modern statistical software. Computer Science Lab Fee.
