SOCI - 315. Social Epidemiology 3 credit(s) This course introduces students to the fundamentals of epidemiology. This includes basic principles and methods used in epidemiology such as research design, outcome measures and cause and effect. In addition, this course examines social interactions and how they affect health. More specifically, why these interactions result in differential health outcomes within a given population. Furthermore, this course addresses those economic and social forces that create these differential health outcomes from a global perspective.
Prerequisite(s): SOCI 101 or SOCI 120 or SOCI 130 Attribute: ARTS, SGLB
