BAAS - 390. Fundamentals of Actuarial Mathematics (FAM)

This course serves as an introduction into actuarial modelling and serves as the foundational principles of ratemaking and reserving for short-term coverage. It is most useful for an actuary pursuing a career in health or casualty. The course also covers the theoretical basis of contingent payment models and application of those models to insurance and other financial risks.

Prerequisite(s): BAAS 280 MATH 470  (MATH 470 may be taken concurrently.)
