CHEM - 348. Organometallic Chemistry 2 credit(s) In this class, we will study of the basic principles of the organometallic chemistry of the d-block elements. Topics will include a survey of coordination chemistry, the properties and reactions of organomtallic complexes, and applications of organotransition metal compounds in catalysis, organic synthesis, bioinorganic chemistry and medicinal chemistry. In addition to lectures, we will discuss current literature in the field.
Prerequisite(s): CHEM 220 minimum grade of C- and CHEM 240 minimum grade of C-, or consent of the instructor. Attribute: (ATTR: ARTS).
