FINC - 427. Mergers and Acquisitions 3 credit(s) This course provides students with a thorough introduction to mergers and acquisitions. Topics include motives for undertaking M&As, takeover and anti-takeover tactics, the valuation of M&As, tax, legal, and accounting issues, and leveraged buyouts. The ethical issues involved, and the managers’ potentially conflicting motives in undertaking these transactions, are also examined.
Prerequisite(s): FINC 302 and FINC 315 . Attribute: (ATTR: BUS).
