FINC - 025. Personal Finance 3 credit(s) Personal Finance prepares students to confront the critical financial decisions they will face during their lifetimes. It will provide them with the knowledge to analyze how decisions concerning topics such as money management, tax planning, consumer credit, home financing, insurance, and financial planning, will impact their personal financial goals. In addition, this course also focuses on raising awareness of the adverse impacts personal financial decisions can have on others in society. Topics featured include environmentally-friendly investments, socially responsible mutual funds, the role of charitable giving, and taxes. This course will not count as a Finance elective for finance majors.
