ECON - 255. Comparative Economics 3 credit(s) A survey of different forms of national capitalist economic organization, e.g. comparisons of the U.S., Germany and Japan with regard to institutional and policy-making differences as they affect the distribution of wealth and income and social welfare. Other topics include comparisons of various socialist economies and formerly socialist economies in Eastern Europe and China, as well as the emerging hybrid forms of economic organization in those societies.
