SWRK - 453. The Wheel of Life: Perspectives on Loss & Grief

Taught in seminar style and drawing from social work, Franciscan, and other related perspectives, students will explore how loss and grief interrelate with nature and the natural world. Within the spectrum of diversity based on gender, age, race, ethnicity, culture, disability, religion and spirituality, social class, and through broader context of scientific methods of inquiry, students will critically analyze quantitatively and qualitatively based models pertaining to stages/phases of grief and loss.
