1 credit(s) This internship provides majors with the opportunity to learn about the social work profession through working in a social service setting. Students provide services to individuals and explore the relationship between the organization, the community and service consumers. Emphasis is placed on understanding the role of diversity as well as the promotion of social and economic justice within the context of a community service setting. Internship sites must be approved by the Social Work Program. This requirement may also be met by PCST - 480. Internship in Peace Studies, or INSA - 480. Internship in Franciscan Service and Advocacy.
