ENGL - 300. Chaucer 3 credit(s) An in-depth study of Chaucer’s major work, The Canterbury Tales, along with selections from his other works. The literature will be discussed in the context of important issues of medieval times: the growing middle class, the position of women, the aftermath of war and plague, religious crisis and reform. All readings will be in Middle English.
