CREA - 251. World Theatre History 3 credit(s) A survey of world theatre, from its origins to the 21st Century. This course focuses on diverse world views and functions of performance as seen in the theatre of various cultures and historical periods. Areas of study include the occasions, social contexts, styles, and locations of theatrical performance; methods of production; and critical perspectives. The course is designed for students with no theatre experience as well as those already acquainted with the stage. A field trip to a professional production is required. Lab Fee.
