3 credit(s) Aligned with our Franciscan values, this graduate-level course guides students in developing a school community needs assessment to envision and propose a community engagement project. Students will choose contexts relevant to their field of study and teaching environment. Course objectives include defining and interacting with community stakeholders, identifying community needs and opportunities for engagement, planning engagement formats and resources, and reflecting critically on their engagement process. The course combines theoretical frameworks with practical applications to foster meaningful and sustainable community partnerships.
