MGMT - 240. Sport Management

This course provides an overview of the dynamic sport industry and covers introductory fundamental knowledge and skill sets of the sport manager. The course will focus on a variety of industry settings including youth sport, community sport, interscholastic athletics, intercollegiate athletics, and professional sport and industry segments such as sociology, law, communications, facility and event management, finance, economics, consumer behavior, and sales. In addition, the course will establish professional best practices for networking, industry engagement, and career preparation.
