3 credit(s) This course is designed to introduce students to the theory and practice of interpreting ecological and aesthetic values of the natural world to the visiting public. Emphasis is placed on interpretation of natural and cultural resources and informal education in an outdoor setting. Both individually and in groups, students will plan and present interpretive materials using written, oral, and visual methods of informative and persuasive communication. At least one Saturday field trip will be required. Written permission of the instructor.
