EDUC - 522. Child Psychology & Development

A study of psychological and developmental issues from birth through early adolescence across diverse populations. A general theoretical overview focusing on cognitive, physical, and emotional development will be studied with attention given to the role of culture on these developmental processes. Theory and research are presented in the context of practical applications with an emphasis on implications for education. (15 hours of fieldwork is required.)
