EDUC - 649. Research in Curriculum and Instruction
3 credit(s) This course is an introductory course on research methods, designed to prepare students for graduate level research. The course examines the full scope of the research process from the literature review, to research questions, and writing a research proposal. Different data collection methods will be discussed including qualitative, quantitative, mixed-method, meta-analysis, ethnography, case study, survey, interview and focus group, and document analysis. The course culminates with presentations by students which demonstrate an understanding of the research proposal process.
