MACC - 580. Digital Forensics and Assisted Investigations

This course examines digital evidence procedures, focusing on techniques and emerging trends among various crimes within our society, and the challenges digital devices pose during internal audits, financial fraud and crime scene investigation. Students will learn the fundamental process of understanding what evidence can be developed from digital forensics and tips on analyzing data collected from electronic devices (including computers, media, and other digital evidence), in order to assist in a full scope audit or investigation.
