CHEM - 348. Organometallic Chemistry

3 credit(s)
This course examines the structure and reactivity of complexes that contain carbon-metal bonds. Topics include the coordination chemistry and reactions of organometallic complexes, and their applications as catalysts in organic synthesis, polymer chemistry, and medicinal chemistry. Using the literature, we explore the chemical, economic, and environmental factors driving real-world applications ranging from drug design to sustainable plastic synthesis and recycling.

Prerequisite(s): CHEM 200  or CHEM 210
