An introduction to the chemistry of carbon compounds, including the study of bonding, structure, nomenclature, physical properties, methods of preparation, and reactivity of alkanes, alkenes, alkynes, alkyl halides, alcohols, and carbonyl containing compounds. Not recommended for pre-health or graduate school students.

Prerequisite(s): CHEM 120, Must be taken concurrently with lab CHEM 201.
