SOCI - 330. Sociology of Organizations and Work3 credit(s) The study of formal organizations in a comparative framework. The course will examine the social causes of the development of formal organizations, analyze the internal structure of some types of formal organizations such as corporations, government agencies, hospitals, and universities, and look at the impact of that structure on the achievement of individual, organizational, and societal goals.
