HIST - 230. Early Modern Europe3 credit(s) A survey of European history between 1350 and 1700. This course seeks to understand the "Renaissance" as a social, political, intellectual, and cultural phenomenon. It will explore both the origins and the long-term significance of this period. This course highlights the history of humanism, religious tensions, political developments, agricultural changes, and European exploration and expansion. Prerequisite(s): Any HIST 100-level course.
